Introducing Brooklyn Band, “Petal Crush”

“Brooklyn's Petal Crush previously existed under a different moniker as a demo project by Andy “Viper” Petrusky. Once the dust settled in 2014, the pathway to record the album he envisioned became strikingly obvious. After sharing his original demos with friends in Philadelphia, Andy was quickly introduced to Jacob “Shaky” Hammill, the famed Astro Puff Studios producer and frontman of Killer Bangs.

With Shaky on board, the duo- with cameos from a select few- set out on a rock excursion that they would ride out for thirteen months. From the beginning there was an evident 'work hard, play hard' mentality when it came to producing, mixing and creativity. “Electrica” is a blasting chorus of hired guns and heavily structured song writing. The songs are haunted by past greats like Nirvana, Pixies and Iggy Pop, all while punching through to the future of garage rock and inventing a pop/rock experience of its own kind. The ten song debut album was mastered by Howie Weinberg (Nirvana, White Stripes, the Killers) in Los Angeles.”
